Strategic Product Manager

Job Responsibilities:

As a key member of the Ingersoll Rand product management team, the Product Manager will play a vital role in steering significant strategic business growth while ensuring profitability.

The selected candidate will be responsible for guaranteeing the success of new product initiatives and enhancing the profitability of existing offerings. This will involve penetrating established verticals and exploring new market opportunities. The Product Manager will serve as the voice of the regional customer, capturing market needs to inform the product portfolio strategy.

Key Responsibilities:

Product Lifecycle Management

  • Define and execute a comprehensive product portfolio with distinct product line definitions and value propositions;
  • Gather regional market insights to be integrated into both regional and global product lifecycle management;
  • Drive new product development or enhancements of existing products based on robust market input and business cases;
  • Improve product profitability targeting specific verticals and developing new opportunities for existing products.

Pricing Strategy

  • Develop pricing strategies and maintain a pricing book that aligns with product positioning;
  • Monitor and analyze pricing trends to identify underlying causes as necessary;
  • Collaborate closely with the sales team to understand market demands and provide effective support to ensure revenue growth.

Business Support

  • Acquire a deep understanding of applications within target verticals from a product perspective;
  • Enhance product and application knowledge by leading training sessions and creating training materials;
  • Act as the primary contact for products, providing regular sales and application engineering support.

Marketing Activities

  • Engage with local technical associations;
  • Understand local compliance and regulatory requirements;
  • Lead product launch initiatives in collaboration with marketing communications;
  • Support and contribute to the development of marketing materials and events.

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering or a related discipline; a master’s degree or a minimum of 3 years of product management experience is preferred, along with at least 5 years of experience in a B2B environment;
  • Exceptional communication skills, capable of building relationships and effectively presenting technical information to diverse audiences;
  • Strong problem-solving skills and a customer-focused mindset;
  • Ability to capture market requirements and remain attuned to market trends;
  • Self-driven and results-oriented, with a strong desire for professional growth in product management and marketing;
  • Proficiency in English for effective communication;
  • An eagerness to explore new areas and opportunities.
