Strategic Product Manager

Job Responsibilities:
As a key member of the Ingersoll Rand product management team, the Product Manager will play a vital role in steering significant strategic business growth in a profitable manner.
The selected candidate will be responsible for ensuring the success of new product initiatives and launches, as well as enhancing the profitability of existing offerings. This will be achieved through deep penetration into current verticals and the exploration of new market segments. The Product Manager will act as the voice of the regional customer, capturing market needs to inform the product portfolio strategy.
Key Responsibilities:
Product Lifecycle Management
- Develop and execute a comprehensive product portfolio with distinct product line definitions and value propositions;
- Gather regional market insights to be integrated into both regional and global product lifecycle strategies;
- Initiate new product development or enhancements to existing products based on solid market research and business justification;
- Drive profitability improvements for targeted verticals and explore new vertical opportunities for current products.
Pricing Strategy
- Establish pricing structures and maintain a pricing guide that aligns with the product positioning strategy;
- Monitor and analyze pricing trends to identify underlying causes when necessary;
- Collaborate closely with the sales team to grasp actual market needs and provide effective support to ensure revenue growth.
Business Support
- Acquire a thorough understanding of applications within target verticals from a product perspective;
- Enhance product and application expertise by leading training sessions and developing educational materials;
- Serve as the product owner for ongoing sales and application engineering support.
Marketing Activities
- Participate in local technical associations;
- Understand local regulatory requirements and approval processes;
- Lead product launch initiatives in collaboration with marketing communications;
- Assist in the creation of marketing materials and participation in events.
Job Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in engineering or a related discipline; a master's degree or a minimum of 3 years of product management experience is preferred, along with at least 5 years of experience in a B2B environment;
- Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to foster relationships and effectively convey technical information to a diverse audience;
- Strong problem-solving capabilities and a customer-focused approach;
- Ability to identify market requirements and sensitivity to market trends;
- Self-driven and results-oriented, with a strong desire for career development in product management and marketing;
- Proficiency in English for professional communication;
- A keen interest in exploring new areas.
