Program Overview

We are seeking driven, analytical graduates to participate in our Amazon Graduate E-Commerce Trainee Program in Munich. This program offers a diverse range of exciting challenges within the Retail Vendor Management field, focusing on Retail Finance.

Throughout the 24-month trainee program, you will receive guidance from senior leaders, industry experts, and mentors, ensuring you gain hands-on experience in a dynamic, international setting from the outset through practical training.

During your rotations, which span several months across various teams, you will gain exposure to multiple Amazon divisions. Together with your manager, you will tailor your rotations according to your skills and career development objectives, including a mandatory six-month rotation in Retail Finance.

Key Responsibilities
  • Engage in strategic projects aimed at enhancing the customer experience at Amazon.
  • Participate in rotations across various departments such as Advertising, Marketing, Supply Chain Management, and Finance.
  • Assume ownership of your business unit and projects from day one, focusing on improving process efficiencies.

Focus Area: Retail Vendor Management with Retail Finance

In the Vendor Management sector, you will act as an entrepreneur within the organization, overseeing relationships with strategic suppliers and entire product categories.

  • Establish connections with new suppliers, negotiate terms, and develop marketing strategies.
  • Collaborate with international teams across Product Management, Supply Chain Management, Marketing, and Finance to enhance customer experiences in your product category.
  • Gain insights into all relevant processes within our Retail business.
  • Take financial responsibility for a multimillion-dollar product line in one of our retail categories, learning about the retail P&L, core KPIs, and essential Retail Finance IT systems.
QualificationsBasic Qualifications
  • Master's Degree in Finance, Business, Economics, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field.
  • Completion of at least two internships, preferably in E-Commerce, Consulting, Sales, Logistics, Engineering, or Finance.
  • Experience in an international environment, ideally through a semester or internship abroad.
  • Fluency in written and spoken English is essential.
  • Proficiency in Excel (including vlookup, index-match, pivot tables, etc.).
Preferred Qualifications
  • Familiarity with SQL, PowerBI, and VBA.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to advise both internal and external stakeholders.
  • A high level of commitment and initiative.
  • Aptitude for working with numbers and data.
  • Analytical and strategic thinking capabilities.
  • Fluency in both written and spoken English and German.
