IT Vendor Management Specialist

Position Overview:

The IT Service & Vendor Manager plays a crucial role in maintaining efficient IT operations and fostering effective communication with clients. This position involves prioritizing tasks, managing escalations, and generating monthly performance reports. The manager will also oversee IT service providers, track software assets, and handle license management.

Key Responsibilities:

Ensure Operational Efficiency:

  • Oversee the availability of IT services and guarantee operational continuity.
  • Coordinate responses to major incidents and implement security updates.
  • Facilitate the Change Advisory Board meetings to ensure smooth IT maintenance.

Enhance Service Processes:

  • Refine and manage processes related to incident management, change management, and problem management.
  • Integrate new services into the IT operational framework.
  • Prepare regular performance reports for service recipients and conduct service review discussions.

Manage Service Providers:

  • Address claims, issues, disputes, and escalations related to all contractual matters.
  • Evaluate service provider performance and manage contracts effectively.
  • Negotiate IT-related contracts to meet organizational needs.
  • Ensure contracts align with stakeholder expectations.

License and Contract Oversight:

  • Track software license utilization and assess effectiveness.
  • Develop reports and recommendations for optimizing licenses and contracts.
  • Collaborate with key stakeholders to ensure adherence to contract terms.

Qualifications:

  • A minimum of 3 years of experience in IT service management.
  • In-depth knowledge and hands-on experience in IT service management practices, including incident, change, and problem management.
  • Familiarity with agile project and service management methodologies.
  • Proven ability to manage both internal IT functions and external service providers.
  • Strong analytical skills with a keen affinity for data.
  • Excellent proficiency in English for effective international communication.
  • Experience in managing stakeholders and processes.
  • Strategic mindset with expertise in IT supplier and license management.
  • Exceptional negotiation skills with external service providers.
  • Demonstrated flexibility, commitment, and strong communication abilities.
