Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled IT Service Manager to join our team at Lowell Service Center GmbH. As an IT Service Manager, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our IT services and managing our relationships with external vendors.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee the availability of our IT services and ensure a seamless operation

  • Manage major incidents and coordinate critical system updates

  • Organize the Change Advisory Board and ensure the successful implementation of IT maintenance activities

  • Optimize and manage incident management, change management, and problem management processes

  • Introduce new services into our IT operations concept and assume responsibility for their operational implementation

  • Prepare regular reports for service recipients and conduct service review meetings with business departments

Vendor Management

  • Manage claims, problems, disputes, and escalations for all contract-related matters

  • Monitor and control the performance of external vendors

  • Have in-depth knowledge and negotiate contracts in the IT sector

  • Ensure that contracts reflect the requirements of stakeholders in a revision-proof manner

Licensing and Contract Management

  • Monitor the use and effectiveness of software licenses

  • Prepare reports and recommendations for optimizing licensing and contract management

  • Collaborate closely with key stakeholders to ensure contract compliance

Requirements

  • At least 3 years of relevant experience in IT Service Management

  • Comprehensive knowledge and several years of practice in managing and optimizing IT services, including incident management, change management, and problem management

  • IT Generalist: broad knowledge and skills across various IT areas, including IT service, infrastructure, and software license management

  • Knowledge of agile project and service management methods

  • Ability to effectively manage internal IT departments and external vendors

  • Ability to analyze and present complex technical and operational relationships

  • Ability to combine results and create management reports for decision-making support

  • Professional appearance and high social competence

  • Excellent English skills in writing and speaking

  • Expertise in process and stakeholder management

  • Analytical thinking and affinity for data/numbers

  • Flexibility, commitment, communication skills, and diplomatic skills

  • Strategic thinking and experience in IT vendor/license management

  • Ability to negotiate with external vendors
