Cinema for Peace Foundation Berlin is seeking a dedicated volunteer to support our team in Berlin. As a volunteer, you will have the opportunity to contribute to our mission of promoting peace and human rights through film.


The ideal candidate will have a passion for film, human rights, and international relations, as well as prior experience working in an international organization or non-governmental organization. Excellent written and spoken fluency in English is required, with German language skills an advantage.


Responsibilities may include:

• Film Screenings: Organizing and executing film screenings and panel discussions with strategic partners.

• Fundraising: Supporting fundraising initiatives through funding organizations, high-level events, and auctions.

• Communications: Drafting and posting social media content, as well as supporting public relations management.

• Campaigns: Conceiving and executing campaigns for human rights, democracy, and peace using film as a medium.

• Film Selection: Supporting the selection and curation of films for screenings and film festivals.

• Artists and Gallery Relations: Liaising with artists and galleries to acquire donations for fundraising and public relations purposes.

• Event Management: Organizing high-level advocacy events in Berlin, New York, and Los Angeles.

• Special Projects: Supporting the management of special projects.

• Team Support: Assisting with general administration, desk research, and other tasks as needed.


This is a full-time volunteer position, Monday-Friday, 9:00 to 18:00. The remuneration for this position is 520 euros + BVG ticket reimbursement.

• Educational qualifications in Film, Human Rights, International Relations, International Law, Project Management, or related fields.

• A passion and interest for topics related to film, art, international conflicts, human rights, climate change, and other socio-political and humanitarian issues.

• Prior basic experience working in an international organization, non-governmental organization, civil society organization, or film-related organization.

• Excellent written and spoken fluency in English is required. Other languages, particularly German, is an advantage.

• Proactive, ability to think outside the box, willing to go the extra mile, and a problem-solving attitude.

• Lives in Berlin.
