About the OpportunityThe Cinema for Peace Foundation is seeking a dedicated volunteer to join the World Forum team, contributing to the planning and execution of the annual conference in Berlin. As a volunteer, you will be part of a dynamic team shaping ideas and strategies for global progress and transformation.
Responsibilities- Partnership Development: Proactively establish relationships with potential strategic and funding partners in G20 countries, coordinating monthly film screenings and panel discussions.
- Fundraising Support: Assist with fundraising initiatives for the World Forum, including organizing high-level events, auctions, membership programs, and maintaining relationships with artists and galleries.
- Administrative Tasks: Handle general administrative duties such as managing mailing and guest lists, conducting research, and monitoring global news and conflicts.
- Communication Strategy: Support the World Forum's communication strategy by drafting, posting, and reposting on various social media platforms.
- Film Selection: Assist in selecting and curating films for the World Forum and its screenings.
- Educational background in fields such as Film, Human Rights, International Relations, International Law, Project Management, or related areas.
- A genuine passion and strong interest in subjects related to film, art, international conflicts, human rights, climate change, and socio-political issues.
- Previous experience working with international organizations, NGOs, civil society organizations, or film-related entities.
- Proficiency in both written and spoken English is essential; knowledge of other languages, particularly German, is considered an advantage.
- Demonstrated proactive and innovative mindset, a willingness to think creatively, and a problem-solving approach.
- Residence in Berlin is an advantage.
The Cinema for Peace Foundation offers a unique opportunity to contribute to a dynamic team shaping global progress and transformation. As a volunteer, you will receive a stipend of 520 EUR + BVG ticket and the chance to work with a renowned organization in the field of human rights and international relations.
