About the OpportunityWe are seeking a highly motivated and organized volunteer to join our team for the World Forum, an annual conference held in Berlin. The World Forum brings together leaders from various fields to discuss and address pressing socio-political issues, with a focus on democracy, peace, justice, and human rights.
Responsibilities- Partnership Development: Proactively establish and maintain relationships with potential partners, including strategic and funding partners in G20 countries, to support the planning and execution of the World Forum.
- Fundraising Support: Assist with fundraising initiatives, including organizing high-level events, auctions, membership programs, and maintaining relationships with artists and galleries.
- Administrative Tasks: Handle general administrative tasks, such as managing mailing and guest lists, conducting research, and monitoring news and global political conflicts.
- Communication Strategy: Support the development and implementation of the World Forum's communication strategy, including drafting and posting content on social media platforms.
- Film Selection: Assist in selecting and curating films for the World Forum and its screenings.
- Educational background in fields such as Film, Human Rights, International Relations, International Law, Project Management, or related areas.
- A genuine passion and strong interest in subjects related to film, art, international conflicts, human rights, climate change, and socio-political issues.
- Previous experience working with international organizations, non-governmental organizations, civil society organizations, or film-related entities.
- Proficiency in both written and spoken English is essential. Knowledge of other languages, particularly German, is considered an advantage.
- Demonstrated proactive and innovative mindset, a willingness to think creatively, and a problem-solving approach.
- Residence in Berlin is an advantage.
