About the Role

Cinema for Peace Foundation Berlin is seeking a highly motivated and dedicated individual to join our team as a Film and Human Rights Coordinator. This is a full-time volunteer position that requires a strong passion for film, human rights, and international relations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Film Screenings: Collaborate with strategic partners to organize monthly film screenings and panel discussions, ensuring the successful execution of these events.
  • Fundraising: Support Cinema for Peace's fundraising initiatives by developing relationships with funding organizations, high-level donors, and artists.
  • Communications: Assist in the development and implementation of the Cinema for Peace Communications Strategy, creating engaging social media content and supporting public relations efforts.
  • Campaigns: Contribute to the conception and execution of Cinema for Peace campaigns focused on human rights, democracy, and peace, utilizing film as a medium.
  • Film Selection: Support the selection and curation of films for Cinema for Peace screenings, film festivals, and awards.
  • Special Projects: Assist in the management of special projects, ensuring their successful completion.
  • Team Support: Provide educational and professional support to team members, promoting a culture of learning and growth.
Requirements
  • Education: A degree in Film, Human Rights, International Relations, International Law, Project Management, or a related field.
  • Skills: Excellent written and spoken fluency in English, with proficiency in other languages, particularly German, being an advantage.
  • Experience: Prior experience working in an international organization, non-governmental organization, civil society organization, or film-related organization.
What We Offer

A competitive stipend of 520 euros per month, plus BVG ticket reimbursement, and the opportunity to work with a dynamic team dedicated to promoting peace and human rights through film.
