Key Responsibilities:- Support the organization of film screenings and panel discussions, including liaising with partners, panelists, venues, and film distributors.
- Assist in fundraising initiatives, including supporting funding organizations, high-level fundraiser events, auctions, membership programs, and artists and gallery relations.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of our communications strategy, including drafting and posting social media content and supporting public relations management.
- Support the conception and execution of campaigns for human rights, democracy, and peace, using the medium of film.
- Assist in the selection and curation of films for Cinema for Peace screenings, film festivals, and awards.
- Liaise with artists, galleries, and art collectors to acquire donations of artworks and experiences for fundraising and public relations purposes.
- Organize high-level advocacy events across the globe, specifically in Berlin, New York, and Los Angeles.
- Support the management of special projects and provide general administrative assistance to the team.
- Education in Film, Human Rights, International Relations, International Law, Project Management, or related fields.
- Passion and interest in film, art, international conflicts, human rights, climate change, and other socio-political and humanitarian issues.
- Prior experience working in an international organization, non-governmental organization, civil society organization, or film-related organization.
- Excellent written and spoken fluency in English is required; other languages, particularly German, is an advantage.
- Proactive, problem-solving attitude, and ability to think outside the box.
- Residence in Berlin.
This is a full-time volunteer position, Monday-Friday, 9:00 to 18:00. The remuneration for this position is 520 euros + BVG ticket reimbursement.
