Artist Residency and Studio Coordinator

We are seeking a highly motivated and organized individual to join our team as a Residency and Studio Manager at coGalleries GmbH. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for coordinating and managing various aspects of our art residency program and studio operations.
Key Responsibilities- Artist Management
- Coordinate with resident artists to ensure their scheduling and logistical needs are met.
- Manage administrative tasks, including studio access and facility maintenance.
- Program Planning and Execution
- Plan, implement, and manage the art residency program, including scheduling, workshops, events, and exhibitions.
- Liaison with Galleries
- Act as the primary point of contact between resident artists and galleries hosting their work.
- Arrange and attend meetings, and handle negotiations.
- Studio Management
- Oversee the studio space, ensuring it is maintained properly.
- Manage inventory of art supplies and handle repairs or upgrades.
- Art Tours Coordination
- Plan, coordinate, and lead art tours, including visits to galleries and artist studios.
- Documentation and Communication
- Maintain up-to-date records of residency participants, artwork, and events.
- Handle communication between the residency program, artists, and the public.
- Feedback and Reporting
- Collect feedback from artists, gallery visitors, and tour participants.
- Report to senior management on program performance and areas for improvement.
- Budget Management
- Assist in managing the budget for the residency program, studio, and tours.
- Track spending and provide regular reports.
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- Qualification and Skills
- A degree in arts administration, project management, fine arts, or a related field.
- Initial experience or demonstrated understanding of project management, including planning, organization, and execution of tasks.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Fluency in English; proficiency in German and/or other languages is a plus.
- Proficient in basic computer software, including MS Office, and familiarity with project management tools and software.
