Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Animation Artist to join our team and contribute to the development of Neo Berlin 2087. The successful candidate will be responsible for creating high-quality gameplay animations that enhance the player experience and maximize immersion.
Key Responsibilities:
- Primary: Develop and implement high-quality gameplay animations that exhibit natural and fluid movements, particularly for characters and interactions within others.
- Create realistic hand and finger movements as well as dynamic weapon handling animations for both third-person and first-person perspectives.
- Perform MoCap Cleanup and integrate motion-capture animations into gameplay sequences.
- Work directly with the Game Director to ensure animations fully realize the project's creative vision.
- Optimize and refine animation pipelines for maximum efficiency and quality.
- Secondary: Contribute to the creation of cinematic sequences to support key story elements within the game.
Requirements:
- Experience:
- Minimum of 5+ years as an animator in the gaming industry with a strong focus on gameplay animations.
- Proven track record of successfully shipped AAA titles
- Technical Skills:
- Expertise in creating natural and fluid movements for characters, with a particular emphasis on hand and finger animations.
- Extensive experience in third-person and first-person animations, including weapon handling, to create realistic and dynamic combat scenes.
- Proficient with the Unreal Engine.
- Experience with Motion Capture (MoCap) animations and associated data cleanup.
- Strong knowledge of common animation software tools such as Maya, or similar.
- Additional Skills:
- Creative problem-solving abilities and a desire to innovate.
- Excellent understanding of movement flows, timing, and character animation.
- Team-oriented work style with a proactive and self-driven attitude.
- Willingness to work closely with the Game Director and execute their creative vision.
