Position Overview:

We are seeking a Senior Professional Export Control and Customs (f/m/d) to join our global Legal & Compliance team. This role is pivotal in ensuring the success of our business unit through rigorous analytical and monitoring capabilities. The position offers flexibility, allowing for mobile work arrangements within Germany, subject to managerial consultation.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Utilize your expertise in export control and customs to conduct regular reviews and monitoring activities across our global organization, identifying potential risk areas and implementing corrective measures to uphold compliance.
  • Analyze and monitor risks associated with Export Control Compliance (ECC) in alignment with established Risk and Internal Control (RIC) monitoring requirements.
  • Enforce the Internal Control Program (ICP) while overseeing business activities and developing strategies to ensure adherence to ICP and local regulations.
  • Conduct internal audits in accordance with ECC standards, analyzing results and creating necessary actions within the ECC Management Information Analysis (MIA) tool.
  • Oversee the implementation of remediation actions to rectify identified deficiencies.
  • Develop methods and standards in the review process to support the global ECC organization.
  • Ensure the implementation of standardized export and customs processes, tailoring work instructions to meet specific business needs.
  • Manage the development and implementation of the internal review and monitoring tool, providing functional and technical support for future change requests, along with administration and business support.

Qualifications:

  • A university degree in business administration, supply chain management, or a related discipline.
  • Extensive professional experience in export control, customs management, and compliance.
  • Additional auditing experience is advantageous.
  • Strong knowledge of international trade regulations and customs procedures.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficient in MS Office applications, particularly PowerPoint, Excel, and SAP.
  • Consideration will be given to candidates with significant professional experience and qualifications in this field, even without a formal degree.
