Position Overview:
We are seeking a Senior Professional Export Control and Customs (f/m/d) for Strategy and Reviews to enhance our global Legal & Compliance team. This role offers a flexible work environment, allowing for mobile work arrangements within Germany, subject to managerial consultation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Utilize your expertise in export control and customs to conduct comprehensive reviews and monitoring activities across our global operations, identifying potential risk areas and implementing corrective measures to ensure compliance.
- Analyze and monitor risks associated with Export Control Compliance (ECC) in line with established Risk and Internal Control (RIC) monitoring standards.
- Oversee the enforcement of the Internal Control Program (ICP), ensuring adherence to local laws and regulations while developing strategies for compliance.
- Conduct internal audits in accordance with ECC requirements, analyzing results and generating necessary actions within the ECC MIA tool.
- Manage the implementation of remediation actions to rectify identified deficiencies.
- Develop methodologies and standards in the review process to support the global ECC organization.
- Ensure the implementation of standardized export and customs processes, tailoring work instructions to meet specific business needs.
- Lead project management efforts for the development and implementation of internal review and monitoring tools, providing functional and technical support for future change requests.
Qualifications:
- A university degree in business administration, supply chain management, or a related discipline.
- Extensive professional experience in export control, customs management, and compliance.
- Auditing experience is advantageous.
- In-depth knowledge of international trade regulations and customs procedures.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficient in MS Office applications, particularly PowerPoint, Excel, and SAP.
- Consideration will be given to candidates with substantial experience and qualifications in the field, even without a formal degree.
Skills and Attributes:
- Fluency in English and German (both written and spoken); knowledge of additional languages is a plus.
- Exceptional organizational, project management, and communication skills.
- Demonstrated leadership and collaboration abilities across all organizational levels.
- Self-motivated with a proactive approach to work.
- Able to work independently while managing conflicting priorities and challenging workloads.
- Strong analytical, methodical, and problem-solving capabilities.
- A solid understanding of business processes with a keen interest in innovative projects within the ECC domain.
