Research Internship in Electrochemical Processes

Position Overview:

Forschungszentrum Jülich is seeking a dedicated Master student to join our innovative team, focusing on advanced projects in the field of electrochemical processes, particularly in solid oxide fuel cells and electrolysis cells. In this role, you will engage in the development of thin film electrodes for SOFC/SOEC and contribute to various experimental studies related to processes, mechanisms, and materials.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct research on thin film manufacturing processes, including ALD and PVD.
  • Utilize materials characterization techniques such as XRD, TGA, SEM-EDX, and others.
  • Perform electrochemical experiments, including current-voltage characteristics and impedance spectroscopy.

Candidate Profile:

  • Pursuing a Master’s degree in physics, chemistry, or materials science.
  • Familiarity with thin film manufacturing techniques.
  • Proficient computer skills; experience with Python is a plus.
  • Fluent in English, with good writing and language skills in German.
