Master Thesis: Pulse Analysis in Electrochemical NMR

Your Role:
At IEK-9, we are pioneering interdisciplinary methods to unravel the fundamental mechanisms within batteries and electrolysis using pulsed NMR. Our focus lies in understanding spin states for tailored magnetic pulse design, pushing the boundaries of NMR in operando experiments. This involves probing interfaces and membranes with precision.
This project centers on implementing and testing a cutting-edge spectrogram pulse analysis method. Your responsibilities will encompass:
- Porting a state-of-the-art spectrogram module for pulse sequence analysis from Matlab to Python.
- Evaluating the spectrogram module on various published pulse sequences.
- Collaborating with experimental NMR spectroscopists.
- Investigating how electrochemical NMR setups influence spin state preparation using spectrograms.
Your Profile:
- Pursuing a master's degree in chemistry, physics, data science, computer science, or a related field.
- Solid understanding of NMR spectroscopy fundamentals is required.
- Proven experience in Python programming is essential.
- Expertise in electrochemistry and spin dynamics is desirable.
- Passion for interdisciplinary research projects and the ability to work effectively within a team.
- Demonstrated initiative and the capacity to work independently in a structured manner.
- Fluent command of written and spoken English.
