Role Overview

The Robotics Sales Manager is tasked with identifying and cultivating sales opportunities, ultimately converting them into order intake. This role involves overseeing the commercial aspects of the proposal creation process, with support from Sales Engineering for technical design and cost estimation, while guiding prospective clients through their purchasing journey. The Sales Manager is accountable for achieving individual commercial objectives and enhancing regional performance.

  • Representing the comprehensive Stow Robotics solution portfolio, including iFollow, E.scala, Atlas 2D, racking solutions, Warehouse Execution Software, and more.
  • Meeting individual sales targets for all Stow Robotics solutions, focusing on key performance indicators related to order intake volume, profitability, revenue timelines, and product mix.
  • Collaborating with colleagues regionally and globally to share leads, relationships, and insights.
  • Managing the sales process from lead generation to order intake:
    • Identifying and engaging potential customers
    • Showcasing vendor capabilities
    • Assessing sales opportunities
    • Responding to tenders, understanding customer needs to facilitate value-driven design
    • Creating solutions, rough order magnitudes (ROMs), and customer return on investments (ROIs) for business case validation
    • Generating commercial proposals with technical support from Sales Engineering
    • Presenting proposed solutions
    • Coordinating and leading customer reference visits
    • Developing effective sales strategies
    • Negotiating and finalizing business agreements, with support from the Commercial Director and in alignment with company objectives
    • Ensuring proposals are validated by engineering, contracts approved by legal, and commercial terms agreed upon by management, including necessary approvals
    • Securing purchase orders and transitioning projects to execution
  • Engaging with end customers and collaborating with integrators, in accordance with company vision and guidance, while working with integrator management and commercial directors on a case-by-case basis.
  • Providing accurate reports on opportunity pipelines and sales strategies to management.
  • Maintaining document storage and version control.
  • Gaining insights into market trends and competitor activities to enhance the competitive positioning of quoted solutions and providing feedback to product management.
  • Supporting regional marketing initiatives, including trade shows and events.
  • Identifying new leads and sales opportunities within the designated territory.
  • Managing relationships with customers and partners, representing Stow Group professionally and in alignment with the company vision.
  • Engaging with supporting departments, including sales engineering, product management, integrator management, legal, and marketing.
Qualifications
  • Proven experience as a sales manager within the German market.
  • Ideally, 5-20 years of experience in an intralogistics automation context.
  • Fluency in German and English (both spoken and written).
  • Self-motivated, adaptable, proactive, and dedicated.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities, logical thinking, and excellent organizational skills.
