Role Overview

The Robotics Sales Manager is tasked with identifying and cultivating sales opportunities, ultimately converting them into confirmed orders. This role involves overseeing the proposal development process from a commercial perspective, with technical support from Sales Engineering, while guiding potential clients through their purchasing journey. The Sales Manager is accountable for achieving personal sales targets and enhancing regional performance.

  • Promoting the complete Stow Robotics product range, including innovative solutions such as iFollow, E.scala, Atlas 2D, and associated racking systems, along with Warehouse Execution Software.
  • Meeting individual sales objectives across all Stow Robotics offerings, focusing on key performance indicators related to order volume, profitability, revenue timelines, and product diversity.
  • Collaborating with colleagues both regionally and globally to share leads, insights, and experiences.
  • Managing the sales process from initial contact to order confirmation, which includes:
    • Identifying and engaging potential customers
    • Showcasing product capabilities
    • Assessing sales opportunities
    • Responding to requests for proposals, addressing customer requirements to facilitate value-driven solutions
    • Creating solution proposals, rough order magnitudes, and return on investment analyses for business case validation
    • Generating commercial proposals with technical input from Sales Engineering
    • Presenting proposed solutions to clients
    • Coordinating and leading customer reference visits
    • Formulating effective sales strategies
    • Negotiating and finalizing agreements, with support from the Commercial Director, in alignment with company objectives
    • Ensuring that proposals are validated by engineering, contracts are reviewed by legal, and commercial terms are approved by management, including necessary authorizations
    • Securing purchase orders and transitioning projects to execution teams
  • Engaging directly with end customers and collaborating with integrators, in accordance with company strategies and guidelines.
  • Providing accurate reports on sales opportunities and strategies to management.
  • Maintaining organized documentation and version control.
  • Gaining insights into market trends and competitor activities to enhance the competitiveness of proposed solutions and provide feedback to product management.
  • Supporting regional marketing efforts, including participation in trade shows and events.
  • Identifying and developing new leads and sales opportunities within the designated territory.
  • Fostering strong relationships with customers and partners, representing Stow Group with professionalism and alignment to company values.
  • Collaborating with various departments, including sales engineering, product management, integrator management, legal, and marketing.
Candidate Profile
  • Demonstrated experience as a sales manager within the German market.
  • Ideally, 5-20 years of experience in the intralogistics automation sector.
  • Fluency in German and proficiency in English, both spoken and written.
  • Self-driven, adaptable, proactive, and dedicated.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, along with excellent organizational skills.
