Fire Protection Inspector (Public Educ.)

Join the U.S. Army Europe and Africa team as a Fire Protection Inspector, responsible for developing and implementing fire prevention and protection programs for the entire installation population. As a key member of the fire department, you will design and deliver training classes to various audiences, including military personnel, local nationals, and other tenants. Your expertise will ensure that training facilities meet minimum regulatory requirements, and you will coordinate with local economy fire departments to provide realistic training exercises.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement fire prevention and protection programs for the installation population
  • Design and deliver training classes to various audiences, including military personnel, local nationals, and other tenants
  • Ensure training facilities meet minimum regulatory requirements
  • Coordinate with local economy fire departments to provide realistic training exercises
  • Procure necessary training aids and audiovisual equipment
  • Monitor instruction given by other individuals for subject content and adequacy of teaching methods
  • Maintain and update documentation of training program

Requirements:

  • E&T Level I (completed lower secondary school / Hauptschulabschluss)
  • Valid host Nation Class B and Class C motor vehicle operator license
  • English Language Proficiency Level C1 required
  • Ability to operate a Computer
  • Pass a medical evaluation as determined appropriate by US Army authorities
  • Certificates required for specific position according to the Feuerwehrdienstvorschrift 2 (FwDV2)
