Fire Protection Inspector (Public Educ.)

We are seeking a highly skilled Fire Protection Inspector to join our team at U.S. Army Europe and Africa. As a Fire Protection Inspector, you will be responsible for developing and implementing fire prevention and protection programs to ensure the safety of our personnel and facilities.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and provide training classes for the entire installation population, tailored to the needs of different audiences.
  • Develop theoretical and practical fire prevention classes, including fire extinguisher classes, and identify required in-house and outside resources.
  • Schedule and coordinate training classes based on customer requests or command initiatives.
  • Review training classes regularly for adequacy and develop additional initiatives based on fire statistics and lessons learned.
  • Ensure that training facilities meet minimum regulatory requirements and procure necessary training aids and audiovisual equipment.
  • Coordinate with USAG agencies and units to establish live-fire training areas and establish contact with local economy fire departments for cooperation in live exercises.
  • Provide instruction in all aspects of fire protection, prevention, and control, and perform briefings for announced exercises.
  • Maintain and update documentation of training programs, establish individual training evaluation records, and prepare regular statistical and narrative reports.
Requirements:
  • E&T Level I (completed lower secondary school / Hauptschulabschluss)
  • Valid host Nation Class B and Class C motor vehicle operator license
  • English Language Proficiency Level C1
  • Ability to operate a computer
  • Pass a medical evaluation as determined appropriate by US Army authorities
  • Additional certifications may be required for specific positions
