Head of Marketplace Operations Belgium (m/f/d)

In the role of Head of Marketplace Operations, you will be instrumental in energizing the marketplace landscape in Belgium by formulating and executing a comprehensive 2-3 year strategic plan, collaborating closely with the national management team to secure a leading market position. This position offers a unique chance to significantly influence customer experiences and contribute to the expansion of our organization.

Key Responsibilities

  • Strategic Coordination: Ensure seamless alignment of objectives, assumptions, resource requirements, and dependencies with functional management, the Country Management Team (CMT), and Product Teams.
  • P&L Mastery: Surpass overall P&L goals for the Belgian marketplace, demonstrating your financial expertise and leadership capabilities.
  • Business Development: Spearhead the formulation and oversight of our business strategy, propelling us towards new opportunities.
  • Performance Oversight: Monitor and manage sales and profitability metrics to ensure we achieve our established targets, including regular sales/revenue forecasts and marketing expenditures.
  • Customer Experience Enhancement: Advocate for customer satisfaction by continuously refining the customer journey and ensuring our clients are thoroughly pleased.
  • Project Leadership: Direct interdisciplinary key projects and initiatives within the marketplace division, ensuring alignment with the strategic goals and priorities of other departments.

Candidate Profile

  • Experienced Leader: You possess extensive experience in commercial leadership roles, preferably within fast-evolving sectors such as E-commerce or Pharmaceuticals in the Belgian market.
  • Financial Strategist: You have a proven history of effectively managing P&L responsibilities.
  • Digital Proficiency: You are well-versed in digital business frameworks and ideally have experience in market entry strategies and business growth.
  • KPI-Focused: You excel at leveraging insights and KPIs to enhance market positions and stimulate growth.
  • Language Skills: Your strong command of English and Dutch enables you to navigate diverse environments effectively. Proficiency in French and/or German is a plus but not essential.
