About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSSE) Manager to join our EPC and O&M team. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for ensuring the highest standards of HSSE performance across our EPC and O&M operations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement effective HSSE programs and systems to ensure compliance with local regulations and ib vogt's HSSE standards.
  • Provide leadership and coordination for HSSE management across EPC and O&M projects, ensuring seamless integration with our ESG department and corporate HSSE colleagues.
  • Conduct site audits and inspections to identify and mitigate HSSE risks, and develop strategies to improve HSSE performance.
  • Manage and maintain HSSE metrics, reporting, and analysis to inform business decisions and drive continuous improvement.
  • Collaborate with the EPC and O&M management team, corporate ESG department, and corporate HSSE colleagues to implement the ESMS in construction and operational assets.
  • Develop and maintain Operational HSSE tools, templates, plans, and procedures in coordination with the Head of EPC and O&M HSSE and the EPC and O&M management team.
  • Ensure that HSSE training programs are in place and effective, and that all employees are aware of their HSSE responsibilities.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders to promote HSSE awareness and best practices.
  • Act as the point of escalation for local EPC and O&M HSSE issues, and coordinate the Occupational Risk Prevention Plan with activities in the photovoltaic plants in the EPC and O&M phases.
  • Promote and manage proposals for improvement in health, safety, and the environment, and review work procedures and contracts to identify needs and create and expand HSSE processes.
  • Manage and ensure the preventive activities in the EPC and O&M phase as far as reasonably practicable, and ensure that incident and accident corrective actions are followed up on and completed.
  • Support the development of globally relevant HSSE software, documentation, and standards.
About You
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in Health & Safety roles within Construction and/or O&M Energy utility projects, with experience in markets such as Germany, France, and the Netherlands being a plus.
  • Knowledge of international construction HSSE best practices and technical basis in Electrical Installations.
  • Proficient in teamwork, teambuilding, and conflict management, with HSE leadership and management skills.
  • Strong planning and organizational skills, with full proficiency in English, both written and spoken, and excellent communication skills.
Required Qualifications
  • Professional degree in Health/Safety/Environment or a technical degree relevant to Energy and/or construction and O&M industries.
  • NEBOSH construction safety qualification or International general certificate in occupational health and safety.
  • Environmental certification, e.g., ISO 45001 certification.
