We are looking for a dedicated Senior Project Manager for Global Learning & Development to spearhead the establishment of our Munich Re Academy. As an integral part of the Global Talent team, your main objective will be to oversee learning and development initiatives. You will be instrumental in crafting, executing, and assessing global learning projects, thereby shaping a modern and forward-thinking learning environment. Reporting directly to the Head of Global Learning & Leadership Development, your contributions will be vital in promoting employee growth and ensuring they possess the essential skills to succeed.

Key Responsibilities:

Oversee the project for launching an academy and facilitate the integration of learning offerings onto a unified learning platform for Munich Re, working closely with key partners in HR and various business units across regions. Collaborate with subject matter experts and internal stakeholders to pinpoint and address specific learning requirements across diverse departments and regions, ensuring that learning initiatives are customized to meet the varied needs of different teams. Assist in the implementation of the Learning Organization's learning technology, governance, and analytics framework. Propel the area of employee development with an emphasis on globally relevant overarching skills, creating a compelling framework and portfolio to foster employee growth and mobility. Curate learning pathways and design educational content, identifying pertinent skills and data points for topics to curate, while ensuring engaging learning experiences in multiple formats. Coordinate marketing and communication strategies surrounding the academy, including a go-to-market and sustainability strategy. Continuously evaluate the effectiveness of learning programs and initiatives, gathering feedback from participants and key stakeholders to identify areas for enhancement and implementing improvements to optimize learning outcomes. Stay informed about the latest trends and best practices in learning and development, regularly conducting research to remain current with innovative methodologies and technologies. Support the management of budgetary and financial aspects of the academy and training programs. Conduct financial analyses and review expenditures to ensure appropriate use of funds and adherence to budgetary guidelines.

Candidate Profile:

A university degree coupled with a minimum of 7 years of experience in a global learning and development environment and/or global project management. Relevant additional qualifications or certifications are advantageous (e.g., change management, project management, training, learning design, instructional design). Strong project management skills and experience in steering large-scale projects on a global level within a major corporation or consultancy. Previous experience in either designing a Global Corporate Learning Organization/Academy model or playing a significant role in establishing a Corporate Academy is a plus. Business acumen and experience in budget management to plan for future academy and training expenses, monitor and report budget utilization, and allocate funds appropriately. Experience in a multinational, matrix organization, with additional business experience being beneficial for effective stakeholder engagement. Familiarity with Learning Management Systems, digital learning tools, and content providers, such as LinkedIn Learning or SuccessFactors, is desirable. A passion for lifelong learning, learning ecosystems, and all aspects of people development (employee experience, learning journeys, career paths, etc.). Enjoy networking, demonstrating enthusiasm and confidence in engaging with various partners at all organizational levels. Excellent communication skills in English.
