About the RoleThe European Sales Manager will lead all business based in the European market. This individual will be responsible for developing and implementing strategic sales, product, and marketing plans to continue and enhance the growth of our already successful business.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and execute sales strategies to achieve maximum market penetration throughout the entire European marketplace.
- Manage a team of salespeople and direct customer-specific sales agencies/manufacturer's reps to drive revenue growth.
- Identify future product requirements and communicate factual supporting data to management.
- Establish and maintain strong relationships with key customers, including Tier 1 suppliers and logistics suppliers.
- Travel extensively throughout Europe to meet with customers and sales teams.
- 10+ years of sales experience in the European automotive industry, independent aftermarket (IAM) and/or OEM marketplace, in a manufacturing environment, with multiple distribution partners and go-to-market methodologies.
- Multi-lingual with English and at least one additional European language.
- Resourceful and creative sales leader with strong hands-on capability to coach, lead, plan, and motivate associates and to negotiate sustainable value with customers.
- Comprehensive knowledge and experience in strategic marketing, analysis, planning, and implementation.
- Proven ability to investigate, analyze, and understand market conditions and opportunities.
- Ability to formulate innovative marketing and sales programs.
- Professional experience acquired in corporate settings where high-level marketing is a recognized strength.
- Professional training and development in the field is also required.
- A 'general manager' orientation to enable working closely with the President on various corporate business matters, necessitating a broad business perspective.
- Capable of working within high-performance company teams and possess exceptional presentation and communication skill sets.
- Excellent presentation and communication skills - interpersonal, written, and verbal.
- Very good PC skills with an emphasis on Excel. Should be familiar with data management, spreadsheet, and presentation software.
- Able to read blueprints and interface with technical people.
- A university degree in Business Administration or equivalent work experience.
- The position will be based in Europe and will be ideally located in either the UK, France, Germany, Spain, or Italy. Other countries will be considered on a case-by-case basis.
- The Sales Manager will be conducting business and must be proficient in English.
- Compensation is competitive.
