Role Overview:
The Procurement & Supplier Quality department at Mercedes-Benz is dedicated to the strategic sourcing, quality assurance, and ethical management of our supply chains. We collaborate with numerous suppliers both domestically and internationally.

Team Dynamics:
As a member of our team, you will contribute to ensuring that our products and services are sourced with a focus on social responsibility and environmental sustainability. Key areas of focus include climate action, resource conservation, and upholding human rights throughout the supply chain. Special emphasis is placed on raw materials, particularly in the context of steel, aluminum, and battery components.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the transition towards a more environmentally sustainable supply chain as part of our strategic initiatives.
  • Assist in the integration of new environmental regulations affecting the supply chain and suppliers.
  • Independently manage specific projects and tasks, including tracking climate protection objectives and responding to sustainability assessments.
  • Evaluate and report on supplier progress, focusing on sustainability performance and compliance with established requirements.
  • Prepare presentations and training materials for management.
  • Conduct research on various sustainability topics.
  • Facilitate communication and coordination with other departments within the organization.

Qualifications:

  • Application materials should include a CV, a compelling cover letter, and a summary of relevant coursework.
  • Educational background in sustainability management, social sciences, environmental studies, or related fields.
  • Preferably some practical experience in relevant areas.
  • Proficient in both written and spoken German and English.
  • Strong skills in MS Office applications.
