Position Overview:

The Procurement & Supplier Quality department at Mercedes-Benz AG is focused on the acquisition, quality assurance, and ethical management of our supply chains. We collaborate with numerous suppliers both domestically and internationally.

Role Responsibilities:

As a part of this initiative, you will contribute to ensuring that our products and services are sourced with social responsibility and environmental sustainability in mind. Key areas of focus include climate protection, resource conservation, and human rights within the supply chain. The sourcing of raw materials, particularly in relation to steel, aluminum, and battery components, is critical to our mission.

Your tasks will include:

  • Assisting in the transition towards a more environmentally friendly supply chain as part of our strategic goals.
  • Supporting the integration of new environmental regulations affecting the supply chain and suppliers.
  • Independently managing specific projects, such as tracking climate protection objectives and responding to sustainability assessments.
  • Monitoring supplier progress and evaluating their sustainability performance.
  • Preparing presentations and training materials for management.
  • Conducting research on sustainability-related topics.
  • Coordinating with various departments within the organization.

Qualifications:

  • Initial practical experience in relevant areas is advantageous.
  • Proficiency in both written and spoken German and English is required.
