Role Overview:

The Procurement & Supplier Quality (MP) division at Mercedes-Benz Cars is dedicated to the acquisition, quality assurance, and responsible management of our supply chains. We collaborate with numerous suppliers both domestically and internationally.

Your Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the application of the UN Guiding Principles on Business and Human Rights within raw materials supply chains.
  • Independently manage specific projects, including conducting risk assessments, implementing strategies, and evaluating their effectiveness.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory frameworks such as LkSG, CSDDD, and BatVO.
  • Engage in collaborative sustainability initiatives across various sectors (e.g., IRMA, Drive Sustainability, RMI).
  • Assess suppliers and enforce procurement standards throughout the supply chain.
  • Prepare presentations for management and develop training materials.
  • Conduct research activities.
  • Facilitate communication and coordination with other departments within the organization.

Qualifications:

  • Enrollment in a degree program related to sustainability management, social sciences, economics, environmental sciences, or geosciences.
  • Fluency in both written and spoken German and English.
  • Proficient in MS Office applications.
  • Strong commitment and teamwork abilities.
  • Analytical thinking and strategic approach to tasks.
