Role Overview:
The Procurement & Supplier Quality department at Mercedes-Benz AG is dedicated to responsible sourcing, quality assurance, and the ethical management of our supply chains. We collaborate with numerous suppliers both domestically and internationally.
Your Responsibilities:
As an intern, you will contribute to ensuring that our procurement processes align with social and environmental standards. Key areas of focus include climate protection, resource conservation, and upholding human rights within the supply chain. You will engage in the development, execution, and enhancement of our sustainable business strategy and related processes.
Specific Tasks Include:
- Assisting in the application of the UN Guiding Principles on Business and Human Rights in raw material supply chains.
- Independently managing assigned projects, including conducting risk assessments and monitoring outcomes.
- Implementing regulatory frameworks such as LkSG, CSDDD, and BatVO.
- Participating in cross-company and cross-industry sustainability initiatives.
- Evaluating suppliers and enforcing procurement standards within the supply chain.
- Preparing presentations and training materials for management.
- Conducting research activities.
- Coordinating and communicating with various departments within the organization.
