Employment Type This is a fixed-term position in accordance with Section 2 of the academic fixed-term labor contract act [Wissenschaftszeitvertragsgesetz, WissZeitVG].

Scope of Work Part-time

Weekly Hours 75% of standard work hours per week

Responsibilities

The role involves providing academic services for the aforementioned project. Research associates are also encouraged to engage in independent research and pursue further academic qualifications, including doctoral studies outside of their work duties.

Within the framework of the project, the primary focus will be on synthesizing semiconductor nanoparticles (including perovskite-type materials) through colloid chemistry techniques. The synthesized nanoparticles will be applied to suitable substrates, and their efficacy in solar cells will be evaluated. Comprehensive optical characterization of the nanoparticles, along with electronic characterization of the resultant solar cells, will be conducted.

Candidate Profile

A university degree in a relevant discipline is required.

Previous experience in synthetic chemistry, particularly with nanoscopic systems, and familiarity with solar cell fabrication techniques are advantageous. Additionally, knowledge of characterization methods for nanoscopic systems (such as electron microscopy and optical spectroscopy) and solar cells (electronic characterization) is preferred.

Proficiency in English is essential, while knowledge of German is considered beneficial.
