ROLE SUMMARY
We are seeking a Vice President of Procurement Consulting & Supplier Solutions DACH (all genders) who will play a crucial role in shaping our consulting and procurement strategies while influencing the future of the industry. This position serves as a vital link between customer needs and supplier capabilities, collaborating closely with the sales organization for business development and delivery. The successful candidate will lead and nurture a team of strategic consultants, analysts, and supplier account managers in partnership with global procurement consulting and supplier solution teams.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
As the VP of Procurement Consulting and Supplier Solutions, you will:
Develop Innovative Procurement Strategies: Create a forward-thinking procurement strategy for clients, emphasizing excellence and innovation while building vertical industry expertise in the DACH market. Manage Supplier Ecosystem: Define the supplier strategy for HRS and cultivate relationships within the local hospitality market, effectively communicating HRS's value proposition. Drive Convergence Initiatives: Lead efforts to bundle various segments - transient, extended stay, groups, and small meetings - to simplify processes and enhance purchasing power. Enhance Traveler Experience: Elevate the traveler experience for HRS's supply partners by showcasing superior value propositions and establishing HRS as a strategic partner in the business travel sector. Represent HRS in the Market: Act as the spokesperson for HRS's procurement practice and the hospitality supplier ecosystem in DACH, participating in industry, customer, and supplier events. Support Market Strategy: Assist the DACH market in defining go-to-market strategies and developing promotional initiatives to enhance awareness of HRS procurement. Foster Collaborative Innovation: Improve current operations by piloting new procurement concepts such as AI-based persona segmentation and attribute-based buying. Maintain an End-to-End Perspective: Connect customer and supplier viewpoints, guiding the procurement and supplier solutions team to maximize impact.QUALIFICATIONS
A completed university degree, preferably an MBA in business administration. Over 10 years of experience in project management within management or procurement consultancy, focusing on travel segments (hospitality preferred). Ability to navigate complex ecosystems and build strong relationships with customers and suppliers. Proven track record of establishing a robust network in the industry, ideally within the German hospitality market. Strong leadership and coaching abilities, with a history of inspiring teams to achieve exceptional results. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, capable of articulating and promoting the HRS value proposition (public speaking experience required). Proficient in analyzing customer situations, interpreting data, and identifying trends to align with employer solutions. Adaptability to a fast-paced environment where products and solutions evolve rapidly, integrating them into customer journeys effectively. Skilled in understanding complex interdependencies and implementing metrics to guide desired outcomes across the HRS ProcureTech ecosystem.
