Procurement Consulting Role: The Procurement Consulting team is tasked with developing and managing lodging and meeting programs for our clients in the DACH region within a global context. We strive to provide maximum value through deep industry knowledge, best practices, benchmarks, and trend analysis to enhance our programs and position HRS as the leading supplier in the sector.
Supplier Solutions Role: The Supplier Solutions team is responsible for managing and nurturing our supplier ecosystem, which includes global and regional hotel chains, independent hotels, and management companies. Our aim is to be the preferred partner in the hospitality market, leveraging our TravelTech to facilitate collaboration across all ecosystem participants.
POSITION SUMMARY
We are seeking a qualified individual for the role of Vice President of Procurement Consulting & Supplier Solutions DACH (all genders) . This position is crucial in shaping our consulting and procurement strategies while influencing the future landscape of the industry. This role is not merely a job; it represents an opportunity to be part of something truly transformative.
The position serves as a vital link between customer requirements and the supplier community, collaborating closely with the DACH sales organization for business development and service delivery. The successful candidate will lead and develop a team of strategic consultants, analysts, and supplier account managers, working in tandem with global procurement consulting, strategic supplier, and supplier solutions teams.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
As the Vice President of Procurement Consulting and Supplier Solutions, you will:
Innovate Procurement Strategy: Develop a pioneering procurement strategy for clients, focusing on excellence and innovation while fostering vertical industry expertise in the dynamic DACH market. Manage Supplier Ecosystem: Define the supplier strategy for HRS and cultivate relationships within the local hospitality market, effectively communicating HRS's value proposition. Drive Convergence: Lead the convergence initiative, integrating various segments – transient, extended stay, groups, and small meetings – to streamline processes and enhance purchasing power. Enhance Traveler Experience: Elevate the traveler experience for HRS's supply partners by showcasing our superior value proposition and establishing HRS as a strategic partner of choice in the business travel sector. Represent the Market: Act as the representative for HRS's procurement practice and the hospitality supplier ecosystem in the DACH region, participating in various industry, customer, and supplier events. Support Market Strategy: Assist the DACH market in defining the go-to-market strategy and develop promotional strategies to enhance awareness of HRS procurement services, serving as the executive sponsor for strategic accounts. Foster Collaborative Innovation: Improve current operational methods by piloting new procurement concepts such as AI-based persona segmentation and attribute-based buying. Maintain Comprehensive Perspective: Connect customer and supplier viewpoints, driving the procurement and supplier solutions team to maximize impact.QUALIFICATIONS
A completed university degree, preferably an MBA in business administration. Over 10 years of experience in project management within a management or procurement consultancy, particularly in travel segments (hospitality preferred). Ability to navigate and manage complex ecosystems while building strong relationships with both customers and suppliers. Proven track record of establishing a robust network within the industry, ideally with existing connections in the German hospitality market. Exceptional leadership and coaching abilities, with a history of inspiring and motivating teams to achieve remarkable results. Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills, capable of articulating and promoting the HRS value proposition (proven public speaking skills are essential). Proficient in analyzing customer situations by interpreting data and identifying trends, linking them to organizational solutions. Adaptability to a fast-paced internal environment where products and solutions evolve rapidly, requiring accurate integration into customer journeys. Skilled in understanding complex interdependencies, implementing relevant metrics to drive desired outcomes, and initiating improvements across the HRS ProcureTech ecosystem. COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS
The competitive compensation package aligns with market standards and includes a fixed monthly salary, all necessary work equipment, mobility options, and an annual or multi-year bonus.
