Position Summary:
The Sales Manager – Biotech/Biopharma will concentrate on driving sales and applications of our Biotech product line within the biopharmaceutical sector. This role is crucial for executing sales strategies aligned with the objectives of Dover Corporation. The individual will spearhead sales initiatives in the designated market, collaborating with various departments, including Marketing, Manufacturing, and Finance, to ensure project success and customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities:
- Drive incremental sales growth in the designated territory, including Northern Germany and the Nordic countries, with an expected travel commitment of approximately 50%.
- Develop and implement innovative sales strategies that go beyond traditional order-taking approaches.
- Optimize sales and distribution channels to enhance growth sustainably.
- Assist in establishing a route-to-market model for OEM and direct sales tailored to the biopharma landscape.
- Facilitate specification development through collaboration with OEMs and system integrators.
- Monitor market share against competitors and document successes for global sharing.
- Utilize goal-setting and project tracking processes to manage sales initiatives effectively.
- Contribute to budget creation for sales and marketing activities related to biopharma.
- Engage with industry associations to enhance visibility and influence.
- Build relationships with leading educational institutions in the biopharma sector.
- Lead key sales projects, ensuring accurate data collection for optimal equipment matching.
- Provide training to team members on biopharma market specifics.
- Conduct regular market analyses to stay ahead of changing business conditions.
- Support the development of customer feedback initiatives to identify new product opportunities.
- Collaborate with the Director of Business Development to identify potential acquisition targets.
- Assist in generating marketing materials and sales leads.
- Coordinate participation in trade shows for maximum impact.
- Engage with the global Biopharma sales team to facilitate information exchange.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 5 years of sales experience.
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business, or a Science-related field.
- Self-motivated with the ability to work independently.
- Willingness to travel extensively within the assigned territory.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and familiar with Salesforce.
- Strong technical problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication skills across all organizational levels.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks in a dynamic environment.
- Fluent in both German and English (C1 level or above).
