Senior Sales Executive

Position Overview:
As the Senior Account Executive for Europe, you will be responsible for the development and management of Polyethylene accounts across the EU, focusing on the sale of Westlake Corporation's resins. You will report to the Senior Manager of International Sales while operating autonomously in your daily activities. Your role will encompass both regional and select national accounts, including plants, technical teams, and corporate clients.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee product line management to ensure stability and growth in value at key accounts.
- Cultivate and sustain relationships with high-level executives and production staff to demonstrate Westlake's value across all tiers.
- Manage complex accounts characterized by diverse market segments or product mixes.
- Negotiate pricing and sales volumes for the complete range of products.
- Formulate strategic account plans that encompass product mix, margin enhancement, optimal shipping locations, and frequency of sales and technical visits.
- Lead problem-solving initiatives within assigned areas and engage in additional problem-solving across other sectors as needed.
- Drive new account acquisition in designated market segments or geographic areas as directed by the Senior Manager of International Sales.
- Utilize foresight to analyze market trends, sales patterns, and forecasts.
- Develop a comprehensive annual sales strategy and coordinate all functional resources to achieve objectives and foster new developments.
- Contribute to process enhancements and operational efficiencies within the department.
- Project customer sales volumes on an annual basis and maintain a rolling 90-day forecast.
- Participate in interdepartmental meetings to address account requirements and contribute to departmental improvements.
Qualifications and Experience:
- A bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or a related field, coupled with a minimum of 10 years of sales experience, preferably in the polyethylene sector.
- In-depth industry knowledge with the ability to analyze factors affecting Polyethylene supply, demand, and pricing.
- Expertise in polymer science and end-use process technology.
- Proven track record in sales strategies, effective face-to-face selling, and specialized market knowledge.
- Proficient communication skills in English, both written and verbal; knowledge of German and/or Dutch is advantageous.
- Demonstrated leadership capabilities in making critical sales decisions.
- Commitment to the company's goals of continuous improvement and operational excellence.
- Strong presentation skills for creating impactful presentations for clients and management.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Willingness to travel up to 75% of the time.
