Position Summary:

The Sales Manager for Biotech/Biopharma will concentrate on the sales and application of PSG Biotech products, representing brands such as Quattroflow, Malema, and Quantex within the biopharmaceutical sector. This role is pivotal in driving sales initiatives and collaborating with various departments including Marketing, Manufacturing, and Finance to enhance customer support and increase sales.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Drive incremental sales growth in the designated territory, which includes Northern Germany, Denmark, Norway, Sweden, and Finland, with a travel commitment of approximately 50%.
  • Develop and implement innovative sales strategies that go beyond traditional order-taking methods.
  • Optimize sales and distribution channels to ensure sustainable growth.
  • Collaborate on the development of a channel model for OEM, Direct, and Rep sales tailored to the biopharma market.
  • Facilitate specification push/pull through partnerships with OEMs and system integrators.
  • Document market share gains against competitors in the tube pump sector.
  • Regularly report successes and create marketing materials based on regional achievements.
  • Utilize goal-setting and project tracking processes to monitor progress.
  • Assist in budget creation for sales and marketing initiatives related to biopharma.
  • Engage with industry associations to enhance visibility and influence.
  • Establish connections with leading biopharma educational institutions.
  • Participate in key sales projects, ensuring accurate data collection for optimal equipment matching.
  • Provide training to team members on biopharma market specifics.
  • Conduct market analyses to proactively address changing business conditions.
  • Support the development of customer feedback initiatives to identify new product opportunities.
  • Work with the Director of Business Development to identify potential acquisition targets.
  • Collaborate with marketing to create effective sales tools and collateral.
  • Lead trade show participation for maximum impact.
  • Assist in generating and tracking sales leads.
  • Coordinate with the global Biopharma sales team for effective information sharing.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 5 years of sales experience.
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business, or a Science-related field.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work independently.
  • Strong communication skills to effectively convey plans and outcomes.
  • Willingness to travel up to 60% of the time, with specific regional commitments.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and Salesforce.
  • Demonstrated technical problem-solving skills.
  • Exceptional organizational abilities and attention to detail.
  • Fluent in both German and English (C1 level or above).
