Job SummaryThe System Technician will play a critical role in the coordination, maintenance, and overall management of the Commercial Enablement da Vinci system platforms, Instruments & Accessories, and Advanced Technologies. This position requires a high level of technical expertise, strong administrative skills, and excellent communication abilities.
Key Responsibilities- System workshop set-up and take-down for all Commercial Enablement programs
- Maintenance and ordering of inventory for Intuitive Systems and I&A
- Organization and status log of all Commercial Learning system and I&A assets
- Management of system shipments and loaners
- Strong administrative and record-keeping skills for system and I&A usage metrics
- Advanced level knowledge of the system and I&A, with the ability to resolve complex issues creatively and effectively
- Alignment and coordination with Commercial Learning training team to execute training programs effectively
- Participation in Commercial Learning program review meetings
- Intuitive technical expert across all system platforms
- Independently manage all administrative duties of the role, including inventory management, I&A purchases, and system location tracking
- Independently manage system shipments
- Ability to identify, make recommendations, and provide feedback to Product Support and Trainers on I&A, simulators, and systems
- Management of upgrades, maintenance, and troubleshooting of all da Vinci Systems, simulators, and I&A
- Overseeing the building of Demo Rooms for Intuitive Systems and I&A
- Advanced level troubleshooting capabilities
- Strong communication skills
- Coordination and logistical experience preferred
- Strong organizational skills
- Knowledge of surgical/laboratory terminology, equipment, materials, and procedures, as well as fundamental laboratory methods relating to surgery
- Ability to travel up to 10% of the time, dependent on projects
- Bachelor's degree or acceptable alternative education with technical certification
- 3+ years of professional work experience, preferably in technical support or lab operations
- OR
- 6+ years of professional work experience, preferably in technical support or lab operations
- FSE certification on all platforms
