Role Overview: As an IT Support Specialist, you will report to the IT Manager at your designated site and will be responsible for providing direct assistance to personnel within the operations division, supporting those who facilitate the delivery of purchased items. You will collaborate closely with the business, your peers, and remote support teams to deliver exceptional IT support services. You will play a vital role in a diverse team, excel in producing high-quality outcomes, and consistently seek enhancements within our Fulfilment Centres. These centres manage millions of items from numerous vendors and ship them globally every day. You will design and maintain infrastructure environments, ensuring that the platform is built with operability in mind. Your efforts will ensure that all infrastructure-related tasks progress successfully. Given the dynamic nature of Amazon, you will thrive in an environment of change and embrace uncertainty.

Key Responsibilities:
You will manage requests and projects from our operational teams, overseeing local projects from inception by defining requirements to implementing necessary installations both onsite and at remote locations.

Basic Qualifications:

What You Will Bring:

  • A degree in computer science or a related discipline, or relevant qualifications with equivalent professional experience.
  • Experience in deployment and collaboration with third-party vendors.
  • Proficiency in managing diverse network environments with Microsoft Windows and Linux-based clients and servers.
  • A track record of learning and applying new technologies.
  • Strong diagnostic and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Understanding of networking infrastructure and system integration.
  • Proficiency in both German and English, written and spoken (B2 level).
Preferred Qualifications:

  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to convey complex technical information clearly to various audiences.
  • Previous experience in a fast-paced, customer-oriented environment.
  • A curious mindset, always seeking innovation and improvements.
  • Additional industry certifications such as ITIL, Cisco (CCNA, CCNP), Microsoft (MCP, MCSE), or Linux (LPIC-1, LPIC-2) are advantageous.
  • Strong analytical skills with a flair for problem-solving and the ability to work autonomously in most situations.
  • Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams and inspiring them to achieve complex objectives.
  • Familiarity with Wireless Local Area Networks (WLAN/WiFi) is a plus.
  • Experience in IT asset management and procurement.
  • Advanced knowledge of common network and Internet protocols.
  • A valid driving license and willingness to travel as required.
