As an IT Support Engineer, you will report to the IT Manager at your designated site, directly assisting personnel within the operations division who facilitate the delivery of purchased items.

Collaborating closely with the business, your colleagues, and remote support teams, you will provide exceptional IT support services.

You will play a vital role in a diverse team, excel in delivering high-quality outcomes, and consistently seek enhancements within our Fulfilment Centres.

Our Fulfilment Centres manage millions of items from numerous vendors, shipping them worldwide daily.

You will construct and maintain infrastructure environments, offering essential insights to ensure the platform is designed with operational efficiency in mind.

You will ensure that all infrastructure-related tasks progress smoothly. Given the dynamic nature of Amazon, you will thrive amidst change and embrace uncertainty.

Key Job Responsibilities
You will manage requests and projects from our operational team.

This entails overseeing local projects from inception by defining requirements to implementing necessary installations both onsite and at remote locations.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

What you will contribute:

Basic Requirements:
  • Degree in computer science or a related discipline, or equivalent professional experience.
  • Experience in deployment and collaboration with third-party vendors.
  • Proficiency in managing diverse network environments with Microsoft Windows and Linux-based clients and servers.
  • Prior experience in learning and applying new technologies.
  • Demonstrated diagnostic and problem-solving abilities.
  • Understanding of networking infrastructure and system integration.
  • Proficiency in German and English, both written and spoken (B2).

  • Additional industry certifications such as ITIL, Cisco (CCNA, CCNP), Microsoft (MCP, MCSE), or Linux (LPIC-1, LPIC-2) are advantageous.
  • Strong analytical skills with a flair for problem-solving and the ability to operate independently in most situations.
  • Experience working with cross-functional teams, inspiring the team to accomplish complex tasks.
  • Familiarity with Wireless Local Area Networks (WLAN/WiFi) is a plus.
  • Experience in IT asset management and procurement.
  • Advanced knowledge of common network and Internet protocols.
  • Valid driving license and willingness to work and travel outside your designated location.
