Role Overview
As an IT Support Engineer, you will report to the IT Manager at your designated site and will be accountable for directly assisting personnel within the operations division, supporting those who facilitate the delivery of your online purchases.

In collaboration with the business, your colleagues, and remote support teams, you will provide exceptional IT support services.

You will play a crucial role in a diverse team, excel in delivering high-quality outcomes, and consistently seek enhancements within one of our Fulfillment Centers.

Fulfillment Centers across the nation manage millions of items from numerous vendors, shipping them globally each day.

You will design and manage infrastructure environments, providing essential insights to ensure that the platform is built with operability in mind. You will ensure that all infrastructure-related tasks progress successfully. Given the dynamic nature of Amazon, you will thrive in change and embrace uncertainty.

Key Responsibilities
You will manage requests and projects from our operational team, overseeing local projects from inception by defining requirements to implementing necessary installations both onsite and at remote locations.

Basic Qualifications

  • A degree in computer science or a related discipline, or equivalent professional experience.
  • Experience in deployment and collaboration with third-party vendors.
  • Proficiency in administering diverse network environments with Microsoft Windows and Linux-based clients and servers.
  • Prior experience in learning and applying new technologies.
  • Demonstrated diagnostic and problem-solving abilities.
  • Understanding of networking infrastructure and system integration.
  • Fluency in German and English, both written and spoken (B2).

Preferred Qualifications

  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to convey complex technical information clearly to various audiences.
  • Previous experience in a fast-paced, customer-centric environment.
  • A curious mindset, always seeking innovation and improvements.
  • Additional industry certifications such as ITIL, Cisco (CCNA, CCNP), Microsoft (MCP, MCSE), or Linux (LPIC-1, LPIC-2) are advantageous.
  • Robust analytical skills with a proactive approach to problem-solving and the ability to operate independently in most situations.
  • Experience working with cross-functional teams and the ability to motivate the team to achieve complex objectives.
  • Familiarity with Wireless Local Area Networks (WLAN/WiFi) is a plus.
  • Experience in IT asset management and procurement.
  • Advanced knowledge of common network and Internet protocols.
  • A valid driving license and flexibility to work and travel as needed.
