Desktop Support Specialist

About the Role:
We are seeking a highly skilled Desktop Support Specialist to join our team at Iron Systems. As a key member of our IT operations team, you will be responsible for maintaining daily IT operations in customer-owned locations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Incident Management: Respond to and diagnose complex hardware, software, and network incidents in a timely and efficient manner.
- Issue Resolution: Prioritize and resolve customer and team issues, ensuring minimal disruption to business operations.
- Escalation: Escalate tickets as needed to ensure timely resolution and minimize impact on customers.
- Process Compliance: Comply with all IT service processes and procedures, ensuring consistency and quality in our service delivery.
Additional Responsibilities:
- Hardware and Software Support: Provide hands-on support for servers, networking activities, and manufacturing-related IT equipment and applications.
- Asset Management: Assist with hardware breaks and fixes, vendor management, and the installation, move, add, and change of customer IT assets.
- Specialized Support: Offer VIP support tailored to specific individuals, as well as support for conference rooms, telepresence, network, internet, and voice services.
- Mobile Phone Support: Provide triage, asset management, and configuration services for mobile phones.
- Event Support: Support special events and meetings, ensuring seamless IT operations.
- Infrastructure Collaboration: Collaborate with desktop-related infrastructure projects to ensure alignment with business objectives.
Requirements:
- 2-5 years of experience in a similar role.
- Strong technical skills, with expertise in hardware, software, and network troubleshooting.
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively.
