About the Role

We are seeking an exceptional sales leader to join our team as Country Sales Leader Germany. This is a unique opportunity to lead a high-performing team and drive revenue growth for Splunk Inc.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and lead a team of sales professionals to achieve revenue targets and exceed company priorities.
  • Strategic decision-making for the country, including marketing, sales engineering alignment, resource planning, and talent management.
  • Provide coaching and mentorship to team members and ensure that managers do the same for their teams.
  • Build a culture of success, accountability, and transparency within the team.
  • Consistently deliver against targets, ensuring company goals and objectives are achieved.
  • Effectively manage the region, considering each and all accounts collectively, and establish accurate plans and forecasts.
  • Put into place sales force structure, process strategies, and strategic resource plans to bring together key opportunities in target markets.
  • Unearth customer insights, define value propositions, and determine appropriate sales and marketing strategies to maximize growth objectives.
  • Provide leadership and oversight to ensure the team demonstrates and deploys resources expertly and for the highest impact.
  • Collaborate with sales engineering, channels, customer success, renewals, professional services, product, legal, marketing, and engineering teams to create a flawless customer experience.
Requirements
  • 10+ years' experience building and running enterprise sales teams, with second-line management experience required.
  • Relevant consultative platform selling experience within the software industry, including IT systems, enterprise or infrastructure management, application development and management, security, business applications, and/or analytics.
  • A history of consistently meeting or exceeding targets and objectives personally and as a leader.
  • A growth mindset with the ability to outline long-term vision and strategy.
  • Excellent conceptual thought leadership and influencing skills, with the ability to build strong business partnerships both inside and outside the organization.
  • Skilled at business planning and diligent at measuring and communicating progress towards the plan, identifying roadblocks, and coming up with appropriate solutions.
  • A highly professional persona and polished demeanor.
  • Consultative selling skills and sales methodology knowledge.
  • Excellence in business operations.
  • An inclusive leadership style.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to deliver executive-level presentations.
  • A Bachelor's degree; an MBA is a plus.
  • Ability to travel approximately 20%.
  • Fluency in German and English (both written and spoken) is mandatory.
