Opportunity for a Risk Management Professional at Amazon Transportation Services (ATS)
We are seeking a proactive Risk Management Professional to enhance our operations, particularly within the EU Surface Transportation sector. In this pivotal role, you will be instrumental in overseeing various dimensions of risk management and fostering a robust risk culture through a meticulously designed training initiative.
Collaboration is essential in this position, as you will engage with diverse teams including Operations, Technology, Legal, and Public Policy. This role presents a unique opportunity to make a significant impact by addressing intricate challenges across a dynamic landscape that spans multiple countries.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the Risk training initiative for Surface Transportation, advocating for a culture that prioritizes risk awareness
- Work in conjunction with business units to identify and mitigate risks, ensuring effective tracking and reporting of these efforts
- Adopt a strategic mindset to resolve issues, collaborating with global teams as required
- Develop controls aimed at preventing the recurrence of identified risks
- Assess new and emerging risks to determine their potential implications
- Establish trusting relationships with essential stakeholders
About the Team:
Amazon Transportation Services (ATS) is recognized for its innovative approach within the transportation sector. Our primary objective is to deliver outstanding service with exceptional speed to our clientele. Within ATS, the Surface Transportation division is responsible for Ground Operations, ensuring the efficient and timely delivery of customer orders throughout the network. Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
- Background in compliance program management, legal affairs, governance, auditing, risk management, or related fields
- Experience in handling sensitive information
Preferred Qualifications:
- Professional auditing certification or similar credentials in risk/compliance
- Proficiency in SQL and Excel
- Experience in defining program requirements, leveraging data and metrics to drive enhancements
