Job Title: Research Assistant (Doctoral Student)

We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Research Assistant to join our team at the Bergische Universität Wuppertal. As a Research Assistant, you will be responsible for working independently on a sub-research project in the field of developing new nanoparticle-modified powder materials for additive manufacturing.

Responsibilities:
  • Production of metallic and ceramic nanoparticles by means of laser ablation in liquids
  • Processing into composites for 3D printing and comprehensive analytics
  • Maintenance of laboratory equipment and organizational tasks
  • Documentation, publication, and presentation of scientific research results
  • Creative development and pursuit of new research approaches in the field of materials development
Requirements:
  • Master's degree in materials science, chemistry, or a related field
  • Excellent knowledge of nanomaterials and materials science
  • Enthusiasm for working in research and skillful handling of complex systems and equipment
  • Great care, independence, and reliability
  • Self-organization skills, ability to work in a team, and good communication skills
  • Very good English language skills (oral and written)
  • Very good written expression
