We are on a mission to redefine travel and establish the largest international network of transport providers and retailers. With a remarkable growth rate of 10x in the past year, we are recognized as one of the fastest-growing startups in the travel sector. Supported by prominent venture capital firms, we are poised for further expansion following our recent funding round.

We seek a seasoned People Operations expert who is dedicated to empowering our expanding organization by developing a robust People infrastructure and ensuring an exceptional employee experience. This leadership position will initially oversee a small team and will report directly to Ana, the VP of People.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead initiatives to enhance and evolve our People Operations framework, fostering a world-class employee lifecycle.
  • Coordinate employment setups across various locations in partnership with the Finance team.
  • Manage the HRIS product lifecycle, from configuration and maintenance to user experience and future enhancements.
  • Work collaboratively with Talent Development, Talent Acquisition, and Compensation & Benefits to implement strategies that continuously enhance employee experience and operational efficiency.
  • Establish and execute an analytics framework aligned with Distribusion's strategic goals, focusing on improving operational efficiency and employee satisfaction.
  • Champion initiatives that promote an outstanding employee experience throughout the entire lifecycle, from onboarding to offboarding.
  • Ensure compliance with legal standards in all People Operations activities while setting industry benchmarks through innovative practices.

Work Environment: Berlin & Hybrid

This role is based at our headquarters in Berlin. As a remote-first organization, we have teams worldwide, with our headquarters serving as a collaborative space for the team.


Candidate Profile:

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related discipline; a Master's degree or HR certification (e.g., SHRM-CP, PHR) is preferred.
  • A minimum of 5-7 years of progressive HR experience, including at least 2 years in a leadership capacity.
  • Significant experience in People Operations or HR generalist roles within organizations undergoing transformation or rapid growth.
  • Experience in onboarding international employees and managing visa processes.
Skills and Competencies:
  • Comprehensive knowledge of HR best practices and German labor regulations.
  • Exceptional analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a focus on designing and implementing process improvements.
  • Strong leadership skills with a proven track record in project management.
  • Thorough understanding of HR compliance, with a talent for integrating technology to enhance compliance measures.
  • Proficiency in HRIS systems and a keen interest in utilizing AI and emerging technologies.
  • Effective communication skills, capable of engaging with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Fluency in English and German, both written and verbal.
