We are seeking a seasoned People Operations expert who is passionate about empowering a dynamic organization by establishing robust People infrastructure and enhancing the overall employee experience. This pivotal role will initially lead a small team and report directly to Ana, the VP of People.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead initiatives to refine and enhance our People Operations framework, ensuring a world-class employee lifecycle.
  • Collaborate with Finance to implement employment setups across various locations.
  • Oversee the HRIS product, managing its configuration, maintenance, and user experience, while driving its ongoing development.
  • Work closely with Talent Development, Talent Acquisition, and Compensation & Benefits teams to devise strategies that enhance employee experience and operational efficiency.
  • Establish and implement an analytics framework aligned with Distribusion's strategic goals, focusing on operational efficiency and employee satisfaction.
  • Champion initiatives that promote an exceptional employee experience throughout the entire lifecycle, from onboarding to offboarding.
  • Ensure compliance with legal standards in all People Operations activities while setting industry benchmarks through innovative practices.

Work Environment: Hybrid model based in Berlin.

This role is based at our headquarters, where our remote-first culture allows teams to collaborate effectively across the globe.


Candidate Profile:

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related discipline; a Master's degree or HR certification (e.g., SHRM-CP, PHR) is preferred.
  • 5-7 years of progressive HR experience, including a minimum of 2 years in a leadership capacity.
  • Proven experience in People Operations or HR generalist roles within organizations undergoing transformation or rapid growth.
  • Experience in onboarding international employees and managing visa processes.
Skills and Competencies:
  • In-depth knowledge of HR best practices and German labor regulations.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a focus on process improvement.
  • Demonstrated leadership skills with experience in project management.
  • Comprehensive understanding of HR compliance, with a talent for integrating technology to enhance compliance measures.
  • Proficiency in HRIS systems and a keen interest in leveraging AI and emerging technologies.
  • Excellent communication skills, capable of engaging with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Fluency in both English and German, written and verbal.
