Position Overview: Lead Automation Engineer

We are seeking a **Lead Automation Engineer** to take charge of all planning activities within the Automation domain. This position requires managing projects from initial design through to final commissioning, while also coordinating with external partners. The successful candidate will possess a robust technical background, proven experience in team leadership, and exceptional communication abilities.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Oversee the completion of all planning activities for the Automation sector, ensuring adherence to time, budget, and quality standards.
  • Support projects through every phase, from conceptual design to installation, commissioning, and qualification.
  • Define the scope of work for the Automation sector for each project.
  • Supervise and coordinate the efforts of executing firms, with a focus on the Automation sector.
  • Lead teams comprising up to two project engineers across various experience levels.
  • Provide updates to project management and relevant stakeholders.
  • Source and manage external resources and planning services.
  • Willingness to travel as necessary for project requirements.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline from an accredited institution.
  • Demonstrated experience in at least two projects within the Pharma sector as a Lead Automation Engineer.
  • Proven track record in team leadership, including managing at least one project engineer.
  • Familiarity with planning Package Units, Clean Utilities Automation, Environmental Monitoring Systems, Process Control Systems, Historian Systems, and System Integration.
  • Excellent communication skills and a proactive, process-driven approach to work.
  • Understanding of the significance of thorough documentation.
  • Proficiency in both German and English at a C1 level.
