Compensation and Benefits Manager

Position Overview:

As a key player in our organization, you will oversee essential payroll functions and ensure accurate management of employee compensation data. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Administering payroll-related employee information, including attendance and time records, in collaboration with HR specialists.
  • Coordinating monthly payroll processing in close partnership with our external payroll service provider.
  • Conducting thorough pre and post-payroll audits to ensure accuracy in payroll runs.
  • Managing intricate payroll scenarios in conjunction with employees and external stakeholders.
  • Serving as the primary contact for payroll inquiries, including tax and social security matters, for management, employees, and HR colleagues.
  • Performing payroll-related analyses and generating reports in collaboration with both internal and external partners, such as HR, Finance, and tax authorities.
  • Contributing to process enhancements and digital transformation initiatives.

Location: This role can be based at one of our facilities.

Qualifications:

We are looking for candidates with the following qualifications:

  • In-depth understanding of payroll processes, with the ability to manage and optimize payroll operations and propose improvements.
  • Strong knowledge of German tax laws and social security regulations, with the capability to handle a variety of cases and collaborate with tax consultants.
  • Experience with HRIS and payroll systems, as well as time and attendance software.
  • Familiarity with HR key performance indicators and analytical tools, including proficiency in Excel for standard and ad-hoc reporting.
  • Competence in standard office software applications.
  • Basic understanding of project management principles.
  • Fluency in both English and German.
