Senior Sales Operations Manager

Overview

BorgWarner is seeking a seasoned and motivated Senior Sales Operations Manager to effectively represent our business unit to clients, upholding the highest standards of professionalism and integrity while showcasing our leadership in component and systems technology.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Act as the primary liaison between the business unit and clients, ensuring a professional and ethical representation that highlights our product leadership in technology.
  • Oversee a team dedicated to achieving growth, profitability, economic value added (EVA), market share, investment initiatives, and product leadership goals for designated clients.
  • Lead global commercial negotiations for assigned clients, ensuring alignment with annual objectives and targets.
  • Analyze market trends, including customer and competitor activities, and relay pertinent information to the Product Business Director for integration into our market analysis process. Develop sales forecasts and monitor market trends throughout the year for timely adjustments.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to create and implement comprehensive customer and pricing strategies that enhance the profitability and growth of the business unit.
  • Maintain a clear understanding of market share, competitive positioning, and profitability for assigned accounts.
  • Establish and execute a customer engagement strategy, fostering strong relationships with key decision-makers and stakeholders while managing daily operations.
  • Identify and develop proactive new business opportunities, tracking progress towards sales targets.
  • Ensure total customer satisfaction by coordinating global responses to customer issues, monitoring performance against key supplier metrics, and implementing corrective action plans as necessary.
  • Guarantee adherence to contract review processes and the business unit's commercial policies.
  • Manage and contribute to the planning and execution of special projects and customer events.
  • Provide global coordination on customer-related issues as needed.
  • Generate sales forecasts for long-range planning and adjust based on ongoing market trend analysis.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS

  • A Bachelor's degree is mandatory.
  • A Master's degree is preferred.
  • Extensive relevant sales or engineering experience is essential.
  • Significant experience in the automotive sector is required.
  • Proficiency in both German and English is necessary.
