Senior Client Relationship Manager

Position Overview:

BorgWarner PowerDrive Systems is seeking a motivated and results-oriented professional to fill the role of Key Account Manager. This position entails significant commercial oversight for designated customer accounts within our Luxembourg Technical Center.

Core Responsibilities:

  • Assume comprehensive commercial responsibility for one or more customer accounts.
  • Collaborate with Engineering and Manufacturing Operations to devise and execute strategies aimed at enhancing existing business and securing new opportunities with assigned OEMs.
  • Lead the coordination of new business quotations and ensure alignment with customer strategies to support long-term objectives.
  • Manage customer account performance metrics, implement pricing strategies, and uphold high levels of customer satisfaction.
  • Act as the primary representative of BorgWarner to customers, maintaining a professional demeanor at all times.

Key Account Manager Duties:

  • Develop and implement comprehensive customer strategies, enhancing profitability and growth.
  • Maintain a clear understanding of market share, competitive positioning, and profitability for each assigned account.
  • Work closely with sales management to establish market-driven pricing strategies based on value provided to customers.
  • Establish and maintain strong relationships with key decision-makers, ensuring effective communication and collaboration.
  • Identify and pursue proactive new business opportunities, tracking progress towards sales goals.
  • Monitor market dynamics, including customer and competitor developments, and relay pertinent information to sales management.
  • Ensure total customer satisfaction by monitoring performance on key supplier metrics and implementing corrective action plans as necessary.
  • Prepare sales forecasts for long-range planning and adjust monthly forecasts based on market trends.
  • Adhere to contract review procedures and BorgWarner commercial policies.
  • Serve as the primary contact for customers regarding commercial issues and requirements.
  • Lead cross-functional teams in collaboration with Program Managers, ensuring effective communication across BorgWarner departments.
  • Represent the business unit at exhibitions, marketing events, and fairs, showcasing professionalism and positive engagement.

Qualifications:

  • Demonstrable experience in sales with a strong focus on delivering exceptional customer experiences.
  • Proficient in MS Office, particularly MS PowerPoint.
  • Solid understanding of sales performance metrics.
  • Exceptional communication and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to manage projects and respond to inquiries promptly.
  • Strong business acumen with a problem-solving mindset.
  • Proven negotiation experience and strategic thinking capabilities.
  • Experience in managing teams effectively.

Travel Requirements:

Willingness to travel as necessary to manage assigned customer accounts.

Educational Background:

Bachelor's Degree or equivalent professional qualification and experience.

Language Proficiency:

Fluency in English is required; additional languages are considered an asset.

Relevant Experience:

Candidates should possess relevant professional experience post-graduation, preferably within the automotive, OEM, or Tier 1 sectors.
