- Oversee the governance framework, ensuring alignment of tools and concepts with climate change objectives and strategic assessments.
- Develop and coordinate advocacy strategies in collaboration with relevant industry associations.
- Participate in working groups focused on assessing product impacts on global sustainable development.
- Foster relationships with the downstream value chain and investors to support sustainability initiatives.
- Promote knowledge sharing and capacity-building efforts to enhance awareness and effectiveness across value chains.
- Manage communication strategies with all stakeholders involved.
- Support all business units in aligning with long-term sustainability goals in accordance with established policies.
Requirements:
- A minimum of a degree in chemical, environmental, or materials engineering; advanced degrees (PhD or MSc) are preferred.
- Postgraduate qualifications in sustainable development (MSc, PhD) are highly advantageous.
- Significant experience in sustainability-related fields.
- Proven track record in business engagement within the industry or similar sectors.
- Expertise in utilizing science-based tools for informed decision-making.
- Experience in leading teams and managing projects effectively.
- Ability to independently seek knowledge and resources to address challenges.
- Strong analytical skills to interpret and summarize complex data.
- Flexibility to collaborate with colleagues across various time zones.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication abilities.
- Fluency in English is required; proficiency in Portuguese and Spanish is a plus.
- Experience within the industry is highly beneficial.
- Willingness to travel: 10-15% if based in Brazil; 30%-50% if based outside Brazil.
