Global Sustainability Manager

About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to lead our sustainable development efforts as a Global Sustainability Manager. This role will play a critical part in shaping our company's long-term goals and strategies to achieve a more sustainable future.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support business decision-making processes to ensure alignment with our sustainable development goals.
  • Develop and implement strategies to improve our products and services portfolio, with a focus on sustainability.
  • Collaborate with our Innovation and Technology team to enhance their impact on achieving our long-term objectives.
  • Coordinate governance processes, including long-term goal follow-up, tool harmonization, and climate change strategy review.
  • Engage with external working groups to address the impacts of chemicals and plastics on sustainable development.
  • Support relationships with the value chain, investors, and other stakeholders.
  • Develop and implement knowledge sharing and capacity building initiatives to increase awareness and results.
  • Coordinate communication processes with all stakeholders, including the Communication and Investor Relationship teams.
Requirements
  • Minimum of a bachelor's degree in chemical, environmental, or material engineering, with a PhD or MSc preferred.
  • Sustainable development post-graduation, MSc, or PhD highly beneficial.
  • Strong experience in sustainable development, with knowledge and experience in fulfilling sustainable development business engagement in the chemical industry.
  • Experience with science-based tools, such as LCA, DfE, and Sustainable Portfolio Management.
  • Leadership experience, including team management and project coordination.
  • Ability to analyze and summarize complex data and information.
  • Flexibility to work with colleagues in different time zones.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Languages: English (required); Portuguese (beneficial); Spanish (beneficial).
